How Mr. Nerd works and what it does not promise.

The service

Mr. Nerd is an AI tutor for children in grades 3 to 12. It teaches math, and it runs hands-on Engineering Labs where children build real guided projects. A dashboard lets a parent see what a child worked on.

Accounts

• A parent signs in with an email address and an emailed code. The parent creates a profile for each child. A child signs in with a code from the parent.
• Keep the sign-in codes private. A code lets someone open that child's sessions.
• The parent is responsible for the child profiles they create and for what is entered in them.

The tutor can be wrong

Replies are generated by an AI model. They can be incorrect, incomplete or badly pitched for the child. A session record shows what was asked and answered. It does not prove that a child understands a topic. Check important work against a textbook or a teacher.

Not a replacement for supervision

A parent should look at what their child is doing. The tutor does not replace adult supervision, and it is not a medical, legal or emergency service.

Acceptable use

• Do not try to get the tutor to produce harmful content, or to access another family's data.
• Do not share a child's sign-in code publicly.
• Do not copy the service or its content to resell it.

Your content

What a child types, draws or says in a session stays theirs. The product uses it to run the session, to show it to the parent, and to generate summaries and quizzes. See the privacy page for the services that process it.

Stopping

A parent can remove a child profile from the Children page. The service can be changed or withdrawn. If that happens, there is no notice period promised here.

Not decided yet

• Price and billing. The product does not take payment on this site today.
• Governing law, the legal entity, and how disputes are handled.
• Limits on liability, which need legal drafting.
